Bill Banzhaf shares the story of his father’s adventures in schoolcraft County from 1921 to 1928. As a a recent graduate of the university of Michigan’s Department of forestry, George Banzhaf assessed the forest of the central UP and created a number of important ventures in the Manistique area in the 1920s. These include the mint farm, the Golf Course, and the Fox farm. The book becomes truly alive as Bill has written this novel in his father’s voice.
